HOYA Nulux iDentity V+ high-definition lenses are individually designed to meet your specific vision needs. Clear vision can be achieved with all lens strengths, including the peripheral areas of the lenses, even if you have significant astigmatism or large interocular differences in visual acuity. The shape and fit of your frames and the natural movement patterns of your eyes are considered when grinding lenses.
With custom-made HOYA Nulux iDentity V+ single vision lenses, you can see clearly in all viewing directions. The very light and thin lenses fit all frames and don’t make the eyes appear larger or smaller when viewed from the front.
The Hi-Vision Meiryo combo coating eliminates reflections, enhances contrast and reduces glare, both at night and during the day. The anti-static coating is easy to clean and repels dirt, dust and water. The coating also provides 100% UV protection against radiation, both through the front and from the back of the lens.

The VisuPro product family is designed to support close-up vision and reduce eyestrain during the day. VisuPro All Day is intended for those who use glasses all day; VisuPro Flex is designed for those who only need glasses when working with something at a close distance. The TrueForm technique makes the lens more comfortable than traditional single vision lenses, particularly when looking sideways. With a high prescription strength or significant astigmatism, this lens is an excellent choice. The Hilux TrueForm lens is particularly suitable for prescription strengths on the minus side, and the Nulux TrueForm lens for strengths on the plus side.

The HOYA EnRoute single vision lenses are designed for driving. With the high-quality lenses, you can see clearly in all directions and focus effortlessly on the car’s dashboard, the road and surrounding traffic. The Pro version enhances contrast vision, especially at night, and in dim light and challenging conditions.
The water-, dirt- and grease-repellent Drive AR coating on the lens provides up to seven times the protection against scratches and reduces glare on the road.
HOYA Hilux and Nulux lenses work best in universal glasses when the strengths are not high, and there’s no noticeable difference in the eyes’ visual acuity. The Hilux single vision lens is designed for minus strengths; the Nulux single vision lens is for plus strengths.
The HOYA SA Single vision lens 1.6 is a thin and affordable lens that is more durable than a standard lens. It’s suitable for correcting mild short-sightedness or long-sightedness.
The lenses have an HMC coating that eliminates reflections and protects them from scratches. It also provides 100% UV protection against radiation through the front of the lenses.
The SA Single vision lens 1.5 is a standard unthinned and uncoated lens. A hard surface coating for the lens can be purchased as an additional feature.

A single vision lens has only one prescription throughout the lens. Bifocal lenses are also available with two different strengths, and progressive lenses with three. Single vision lenses allow you to see clearly at near or far distances, bifocal lenses near and far, and progressive lenses at near, intermediate and far distances.
The price of single vision lenses varies, depending on the quality of the lens. At Silmäasema, single vision lenses cost €49–€549. The price always includes two lenses and an optional coating. At Silmäasema, all lenses except for the most affordable standard lens have a high-quality coating that improves the lenses’ durability, optics and comfort, and makes it easier to keep the glasses clean.
High-quality single vision lenses cost more, but they’re also more durable, easier to maintain and significantly more comfortable to use than inexpensive standard lenses.
Advanced single vision lenses are made of lightweight optical plastic and are digitally ground. The optics of custom-made lenses are clearer edge to edge, as they’re designed to fit your chosen frame.
The final result is finished with advanced features and coatings that extend the lenses’ lifespan and make them easier to clean. Coated lenses also look better, as the coatings prevent scratches and light reflecting off the surface of the lens.
Youth progressive lenses are intended for 13–45-year-olds who do close-up work or spend more than two hours a day on smart devices. The lower part of youth progressive lenses has been ground with a light plus strength to reduce eyestrain when focusing at close range.
A thinned lens has been ground to make the glasses lighter and more attractive. Thinning is also referred to as refractive index. There are four refractive indices: 1.5 (unthinned); 1.6 (single thinned); 1.67 (double thinned); and 1.74 (triple thinned). The larger the refractive index is, the thinner the lens. Thinning is especially recommended for higher lens strengths.
However, the thinnest lens is not the best solution for every situation, as thinning affects the lens’s optics. The most important thing is that thinning is suitable for your prescription and the frames you choose. Our eyecare professionals can recommend which thinning you should choose.
The strengths and thinning, i.e. the refractive index, of your glasses will affect how much bigger or smaller your eyes look through your single vision lenses. The magnifying or shrinking effect can be reduced by thinning the lens. The higher the strengths, the more the lens can be thinned without compromising its durability.
Single vision lenses are available with both specially designed coatings and combination coatings that include several different features. A scratch-resistant coating provides protection against knocks and damage, keeping the lenses clear for longer. An anti-reflective coating enhances the optics and brings out the eyes beautifully, as light isn’t reflected off the lenses’ surfaces. Dirt-, grease-, water- and dust-repellent coatings make it easier to clean the lenses and extend their lifespan. A coating that protects against blue light from screens is also available. Special lenses for motoring include a glare-reducing coating.
Coatings make lenses more comfortable to use, more durable and easier to maintain.
Single vision lenses are usually made of plastic instead of glass, as plastic is lighter and more durable. The plastic material can also easily be thinned, regardless of the strength of the glasses. Glass, meanwhile, offers clearer optics, but the lenses are heavy and break easily.
You will usually receive your single vision glasses from us within three weeks of ordering.
Custom-made old lenses cannot be fitted in new frames, as they are ground during manufacture to fit a specific pair of frames. Lenses are centred according to pupils and positioned at the correct height so that you can see as clearly as possible. If the same single vision lenses are ground and fit in different frames, the dimensions will change, and you probably won’t see as well with the lenses.
