Eyewear protection plan

Afraid your new glasses might break? The eyewear protection plan is a voluntary repair and maintenance service for your glasses, offering added protection similar to glasses insurance.It covers accidental damage and breakage to your new glasses or prescription sunglasses for two years.

What does the eyewear protection plan cover?

The eyewear protection plan covers the maintenance, repair or replacement of your glasses or prescription sunglasses if they are accidentally damaged, unless the damage is caused intentionally or through gross negligence.


Unlike standard insurance, the eyewear protection plan is specifically designed to protect your glasses against accidental damage and breakage.


The eyewear protection plan includes temple adjustment, screw tightening and cleaning. The plan doesn’t cover lost or stolen glasses. The customer pays a deductible equal to 25% of the repair cost, or 25% of the original list price of the glasses.


Examples

The eyewear protection plan replaces your damaged glasses if:

  • You’re painting the living room, and your glasses fall into the paint
  • You fall off your bike and get a deep scratch on one lens
  • Your child or dog breaks your glasses

The eyewear protection plan does NOT replace your damaged glasses if:

  • The lenses have surface scratches that are clearly the result of inappropriate storage
  • The glasses are lost or stolen

  • Single vision glasses €39
  • Progressive glasses €59
  • When you buy two pairs of glasses, you get the eyewear protection plan for the second pair at half price.
