Your Rights and Data Requests

Every customer and patient whose personal data we process has certain rights guaranteed by law. Silmäasema may refuse to fulfil a request where permitted under applicable legislation. In such cases, we will explain the reasons for refusing the request. If you wish, you may also lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

Some of Silmäasema's patient information systems transfer patient records to Kanta. Adult patients and customers can view their own patient records through the MyKanta service or the OmaSilmä App. You can sign in to MyKanta using your personal online banking credentials, a mobile certificate or an electronic identity card. More detailed instructions are available on Kela's MyKanta website.
